Just bought a new SR9C and I couldn't find any mention of a warranty in the manual, so I looked on their website and it says they provide no written warranty with their firearms because of the Magnuson-Moss Act (Public Law 93-637). It says I should check with my State law for implied warranties. Does anyone have any experience with the Ruger warranty procedure and will they stand by their firearm and for how long?
Thanks

I had to send my SR9 back to Ruger for cosmetic reason. I called them and they email me the UPS overnight shipping label to ship the gun to them. Ruger customer service people were very nice. I even received email from the CEO Mr. Mike Fifer when I sent him email asking about the possibility of the SR45 & the SR45c. I love Ruger!

Was the cosmetic reason a discoloration on the slide? Mine has a different texture (kinda dull finish) on the slide next to the SR9C and on the other side by the Ruger emblem. Just wondering if this is something to worry about?

There's no "implied" warranty but they do honor and stand behind their product, that's my experience anyway. Also you can contact the CEO Michael Fifer directly if your dissatisfied with something, he's known to send out gifts as well, he sent me some swag one time, stickers, hat and stuff.

ruger service got a lot better when that old man bill ruger kicked off. i used to really hate and detest ruger products but once the new blood took over everything over there has really improved including customer service.

No, it was some machine marks left on the stainless slide. I didn't see them when I got the gun from the LGS because of the excessive amount of oil/grease Ruger put on the gun. I contacted Ruger and they told me to send the gun back. It was returned to me after a couple of weeks and the slide looked great.
