My pops kills deer with this bad boy. It's quite possibly the most badass handgun I've ever shot. Pinpoint accurate

The OP's gun looks more like a Super Redhawk to me.

Nice gun, regardless of if its a red or black hawk.

I love my 50th Anniversary .44mag Super Blackhawk. It hurts to shoot a lot though because I'm running the stock grips. Anyone have any grip suggestions?

You don't say which Super Blackhawk you have regarding barrel length. Only the 7 1/2" has the Dragoon style grip frame, so I'm assuming you have the Blackhawk grip frame on your gun.

This is one of my .44 with the dragoon style grip frame and Bolivian rosewood grips from Lett. Lett is now out of business but you can still get grips like these from Collinscraft and similar sources.

Smooth, plain wood grips of this type have proved best for me with heavy loads. Even have my .45 Colt Rugers so stocked.

Here is my .45 Colt Blackhawk with the Super Blackhawk grip frame and stocks of ebony.

They help tame even the most fierce handloads.

Thanks Bob. I'm pretty sure it's a 6 inch, I haven't pulled her out in a while because of ammo cost.
