I picked up my first 1911! Love it!! What a great trigger it has and tight action!
Awesome!!! IT sure is a great looking 1911. Congrats.
Nice looking gun. The ruger 1911 was and still is high on my list if one ever pops up. They are beautiful guns. Have fun trying to wipe the grin from your face when you shoot it.
Congrats!!!! I love mine and it was my first 1911 too!!!
Hey, I like your grips......
Super guns for the money. The trigger is a little weak but I ordered a short flat custom trigger from Joe Chambers and did a trigger job. It eats every thing I have put in it. Fun gun to shoot for sure.
Nice looking heater. Ruger is all business.
Thanks!!! I bought them from Raasco grips.
Cool!!!!! Awesome new buy! Rocshaman and I bought Rugers a couple of months back and love them!!!!!
But I've only thrown about 200 rounds down range...... that said, it functioned great!!!!!
On the SR1911 is the external safety swept up to be turned off or swept down?
It's the same as all 1911s. Up is safe, down is fire. If you're unfamiliar with how the controls work, I would recommend doing a lot of dry firing do you understand the gun better.
The reason that I ask, is that I have never owned a 1911, but I own an LC9 and an SR9c, the safety sweep move is down-off, safe-up, but my p95 has a sweep-up safety off feature, I don't prefer the swept up safety off feature on the P95!
I would like to acquire a Ruger SR1911, but only if the safety off, sweep was a downward motion, like the LC9 and the SR9c!!
Congrats! Picked a hell of a nice one for your first one! Wouldnt take nothing for mine, cant wait to get another.
Very nice. Beautiful
I've been wondering, are the flat trigger comfortable? It honestly doesn't look comfortable on the finger. Also what is he advantage to it vs the traditional one?
Sweet gun had one should have picked up $650
They had this one for $695, they are hard to find.
I just found one for 625 on armslist probably get it down to 600. But 695 still isn't bad.
Are those custom grips?
They are eagle wing grips made of cocobolo. Had seen them on the net and fell in love. Ruger sales them on their website, i had to wait about 4 or 5 months for them to replenish their stock!
They are still in stock.
