Went shooting today with the family. My son brought his ruger sp101. After popping some clays we brought out the pistols. We had been to a gun show earlier in the day. He bought some hogue rubber grips for the ruger. I had shot the pistol before and did reasonably well with it. Today, was a different story. I don't know if grips can make that much of a difference. We had set some extra clays against the levy of the pond about 30' away. I pulled down shot, it popped. Moved to the next, popped it and so went 5 of 5. Thats pretty good for me, and it was effortless. Do you think the grips may have made my form better by their more contour style. ? Or, I just had a good day. I'll tell you this, I was very conscience of the transfer of energy into my forearm bones instead of my hand and wrist.
