I`ve got an old Single Six and they are great guns. The new .17 cal. rimfires great rounds but are reather high priced. If you were going to do alot of shooting the .22 would let you shoot alot cheaper and is still good for rabbits, squirrel, ect.
Thanks Catfish. I've got a Taurus 980 22LR and I thought I'd try the 17HMR. Never really thought about the cost. But after checking the price of ammo you certainly have a good point.
