Don't expect it to shoot any different from any steel ruger MKIII . Just a lighter version thats suppressor ready. If you have not shot a ruger MK II or III 22 pistol then rent any ole 22/45. Even compaired to a older model the mild difference will be in grip proflie. I have a couple rugers . Standard 6" MKIII with a 2lb trigger and a 22/45 for my wife that has a red dot on it.

My current roommate owns a mk 2 which made me look in to gettin one and I'm not worried about price and I shoot by myself out in the country and want to just go with many rounds and no ear muffs figure it's the cheapest route?

NO earmuffs!! bad choice even with a .22lr pistol. Get some muffs or basic ear plugs , really

From what I've been told .22 is more damaging to your hearing than most calibers.

With a suppressor Idk, I think it would depend on how well it was suppressed.

i run a ruger mk3 threaded model with a silencerco sparrow ss. the bolt slamming forward on a empty chamber is louder than the gunshot

I don't believe the lite is suppressor ready, if I'm not mistaken the front ring is a tension ring to keep the sleeve and barrel locked together. They sure feel nice though...

The new Ruger Mark III is indeed suppressor ready. It comes with a threaded barrel which protrudes a little over .400" and comes with a thread protector.
The tension ring is a separate issue, is epoxied in place and never to be tampered with.
