Is there a website that can give instruction on how to polish the sear / hammer / trigger on a Ruger Mark III. The Volquartzen (sp?) site is only fair on the internal disassembly and reassembly. I'd like to dress the internal components before I spend any money on this pistol. The barrel is great and I can shoot a 280 with it.... but to do better, especially on timed and rapid fire, I need a better trigger.... thanks

    Welcome to the forum.
As general rule around here, we like to know a little back ground on you before we give any kind of trigger advice.

There is an "Introductions" area where you will get greetings, salutations, etc...

We are a cautious and safety minded bunch here, and triggers are normally left to those who have some experience.

A Buckmark has a little better trigger than the Ruger out of the box. But I do really like the Ruger pistols. I'd get a gunsmith to do it unless I really knew what I was doing in there. It's easy to mess up if you're not too careful.

I installed a Volquartzen accurizing kit in my MK III. I found that the adjustable trigger was really great but I had some problems with the hammer and sear. I ended up putting back the original hammer and sear. It is real nice with that trigger though.

I would HIGHLY recommend you take it to a smith or buy the replacement aftermarket parts. It's too easy to screw up the angle or polish too much.
