My wife has one and loves it. If you shoot it with the +P ammo, it does give you a good wallup.
There are many here that have the Elsie Arrrr.:D You will find it is a favorite.

I am thinking of getting the .357 version for myself.
This is the Wife's with her P345, she has also got an Elsie Pea.

Great little self-defense revolver. Well-designed, light, and easy to conceal. No fun when shooting +P ammo.....but it's not a target gun anyway.

I'd love to hear how your wife reacts to it. I've been toying with buying my wife one and giving her Hornady Critical Defense 110 grain 38spl loads, not even +p. I'm thinking it would be a bit better than ElsiePea for her, because of the slightly extra power.

She doesn't have the strongest hands, though. She does fine with 9mm from a full-size semi. But a little gun, I think would be tougher for her.

I can't wait to hear a range report from y'all.

Yeah, we can tell if you just poke a ball-point pen through the center of the target a bunch of times. :) I'm looking forward to hearing about the trip. Hopefully you have the option of putting a few different rounds through it, not just 110 grain FMJ.

They are a little tempting for a carry gun. Good gun for the wife I am sure. When I was buying my Glock 21 two ladies where buying them. The next weekend I ran into them at the range and they told me how much they liked the gun. They asked me about smaller loads. They were shooting some like 150ish grain.....? Very old is what they where telling me.
