My LCR snubnose (top) chambered for .357; and my recent addition, the LCRx 3" chambered in .38+P. Unlike the snubbie, the X model has an adjustable rear sight, exposed hammer for double action and a longer handgrip. I've always felt .357 is a bit too much of a cartridge for these extremely lightweight frames and mostly fired .38's out of my snub LCR. Either way, accuracy is distance dependent. The closer you are to your target, the better. The X model is still light as a feather, is still concealable enough to fit in your jeans pocket and has a big-revolver feel, without the weight. The .38 round seems much better-suited for the frame. Accuracy is improved with the longer barrel; the longer handgrip gives more control. If I get in a turf war with the Bloods or the Crips, these are not the guns I would bring. But good enough for EDC in normal environments.
