My buddy has one and I can shoot very well with it but just can't warm up to the way it feels in my hand.

I agree that it's built like a tank, heavy, very reliable and can handle +P and I think +P+. Great used prices of $300 and under.

But it ain't a Hi Power as far as looks and handling.

Also feels & sounds like a tank when firing but a very dependable firearm :)

I wouldn't consider the P89 for CCW. For 9mm CCW I'd go Glock 26 or possibly Glock 19.

Loved my P89. It is a full on service pistol but I bet one could reliably conceal it if they had the right set up and you could always conceal it using a shoulder holster in the colder months. The key to a P89 is to get the Hogue grip for it and don’t expect to drive tacks but it is combat accurate all day.
