I am purchasing a Ruger .22 Hornet, the M77/22. I know that a .22 Hornet and a .17 Hornet use the same bolt face and chamber. My Question is this, are there any companies that do rebarreling in a .17 ackely hornet, that will be able to be remounted to the 77/22 action?

Any gunsmith worth his salt can do it. Setting the head space is the biggest part of the job.

Am I correct in assuming that the .22 Hornet chamber can be used for a .17 Hornet?

No, you don't swap chambers you swap barrels depending on action length and boltface size. ie you buy a 243 you could rebarrel it to a 7-08,308, and the likes but not a 223 or a 325wsm without changing a lot of things, bolt, follower, mag in some instances. But if you have a 77/22 in 22hornet yes you can get it rebarreled to 17 hornet or a K hornet or Calhoon or whatever as long as you stick to that length and boltface size
