I am lucky to have a couple of these things, they work great. I have been trying to pick up a few more, and all I see anywhere: empty shelves, out of stock, no backorder. Even the Ruger online-store is out and no clue when they will be available

My guess is, folks fear the coming of a "10 round" restriction - man oh man those squirrels need to worry about their lives lol. If some a**holes are buying stuff up like this to re-sell to us at ridiculous profits, they should themselves be shot IMHO.

Just looked on Gunbroker good lord 2 to 3 times retail and more is the new rate. For a damned .22 magazine.

  3. I'm sure you're just venting, but advocating an illegal action isn't really in keeping with the concept of this forum.

did you get the Ruger or an aftermarket magazine? I looked at Cabela's website and all they have are the Butler Creek clear magazines listed

I went on Midway USA. They have them listed for $23. Of course, they're out of stock. However, you can be e-mailed when they are. Hopefully I can be quick enough to grab a couple when they get them back in.

MidwayUSA - on their website, BX-25 (Out of Stock, No Backorder). They have the clear model available!

Cabela's all 10 rounders .22LR for the Ruger (Backorderable) Estimated ship date 2 to 3 weeks; however, the 10 rounder .22LR clear model is available! That they're still have some!

Cheaper Than Dirt - forget it! You have only the 5 rounder .22LR and single rounder .22LR

Local Cabela's has been sold out since before XMas. No date for restock, and as you said, they're gone from the Cabela's website entirely.
The mag aisle at the local Cabela's is sort of hilarious. The only mags available are 10 rounds or less. So many empty hooks!
I went to get a small hard case for the wife's revolver a while back, and they'd sold every single hard plastic pistol case in the store and there were about 50 of them the week before.

I've been looking for them too. My LGS had some last week, but I really didn't want to spend 60 bucks each. I think I should have paid it.

I bought my first 10/22 just before Christmas, can't find ammunition and I can't find BX-25 mags. I just wonder if Ruger is even manufacturing them thinking they might be banned ...

Thank goodness I picked up a couple bx25s when I got my takedown .

Does anyone know if the high cap mag ban proposed will include rimfire mags ?

WOW! Prices are CRAZY on these things! Curious, I went through about 3 Pages of Google Search, and found:

    - 1 BX25 Mag currently For Sale for $100, Starting Bid...
    - 5 BX25 Mags Sold as a Group for $335, with 30 Bids...
    - 1 BX25 Mag Sold for $54.37, with 15 Bids...

Kinda weird... but most of my Rifles/Handguns are Semi-Auto, and I've been buying my Spare Mags over the last couple of years... I JUST recently got into Single-Shot Bolt-Action Rifles (Late Nov...), and haven't had any problems finding Mags! The Rifles, however, have been the proverbial, "Needle in a Haystack" Search, but, being determined and sorting through many, many Google Pages, I managed to find two hard ones, that I've been looking for.

I've never seen a run like this, in my life!

    Cheers!

    BB

Checking the net, they're no Ruger 10 rounder rotary, 25 rounder bx-25 or even butler creek, seen the 10 rounder clear for $12.99 on midwayUSA tonight. Anything fitting 10/22 LR is gone from the net and shelves. In 2008, it was not this bad!

Calbelas has the clear 10 rounder. $21.99 per mag!

anybody stupid enough to pass a "high capacity magazine" law is also stupid enough to apply that law to .22LR. I think the only exception is tube-fed magazines, such as a Henry

Anything semi auto, anything with a detachable magazine that has the potential to hold more then ten rounds is on their table to ban. Your little 10/22 has the potential in the eyes of our dear leader to be classified as an "assault gun"
