Hey everyone. Just got done browsing around on youtube when I came across this video: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jl2n7V0-ac4"]Modding Ruger 10/22 for Auto Bolt Release at Home![/ame]

I have no idea if this will infact work and was hoping to get some input on this before I try it out. Thanks ahead of time!

Yes it works. I used directions off rimfirecentral.com to do mine. Good luck.

I modify all my 10/22 bolt releases like that. It only takes about 2 minutes and is just as good as paying 10-12$ for an aftermarket release. Be aware that a hard thump to the buttstock WILL release the bolt afterwards.

for the start I use a flat needle file. The very pointy tip of the part your dremeling off can cause your bit to jump around.

Get the area flattened off and started, then switch to your dremel bit.
