when i ordered my NM upper from RRA i also ordered one of their two stage triggers. i totally underestimated just how good a trigger this is. i was expecting a slightly smoother military trigger what i got was totally unexpected.

    My A1 configuration

ive heard they were good people have told me they were good but for the money and super easy no adjustment installation this has got to be one of the best values and smoothest triggers available.

as you can see its got a different configuration than the standard milspec style trigger system. i missed the initial installation the trigger spring is slightly misplaced but ive fixed that

cant wait to see how that rounded hammer design works with a cmmg 22lr conversion. but thats not in the plans for this weekend

going to take it out this weekend with the 458 socom and A1 uppers.

    Jon,

I think you meant the Hammer Spring Leg?
Just for a learning lesson for everyone. With the Hammer Spring Leg in this position. If the hammer spring leg does not happen to be in position and in the notch on the trigger pin. The Trigger Pin could walk out.

picked up one of these this afternoon for making match grade ammo MUCCHHHHH easier:

usually takes me several hours to jiggle exact powder ammounts for just 30 rounds. this device i cranked out 30 rounds of exactly identical 223 68grn bthp in about 25 minutes. thats after case prep time. gonna try em out with the 2stage trigger and A1 upper tomorrow. plus i get to spend the gift certificate i got for second place in sunday's shooting match :)

Its my unbirthday. Kinda like that when you dont have kids :( would rather have a kid than toys.

I also simply refuse to participate in obama's and bush's economy.

Is it the integral carry handle upper that makes it an A1? What is a flattop upper, then?

Not really since the plain ol' M16, the M16A1, the M16A2, the M16A3, a few early M4s and the ArmaLite/Colt AR-15 (pre-M16) all had integrated carry handles. Only the M16A4 and current M4/M4A1s are flat tops. Of the commercial versions, usually you hear A3 and A4 for flat top.

An M16A1 had a few upgrades over the M16 like the chromed chamber/barrel, forward assist, etc.
