    Y'all owned one of these?

Are they as good as a Marlin in .357 Magnum?

Lookin' for an inexpensive Hog Rifle as well as a Home Defense Rifle that can share ammo with my EAA & Dan Wesson Revolvers.

I have not owned a Rossi, I heart my Marlin 94 in .44 mag.

I have one in 44-40. Great rifle, strong and dependable. Stronger even than the 94 Winchester. Mine is an older model without hammer block safety. The action was a little rough but slicked up pretty easily. I believe the newer ones are smoother.

My shooting buddy has one in .357Magnum. It's a very good shooter. It loves my handloads in 125 grain JHP with Lil Gun powder - clocks 2000FPS even. Very tight shooter at 50 yards - about an inch group.
He has a Rossi .357 Magnum revolver and a Rossi Combo single-shot rifle in .17HMR and 20 gauge. Rossi is a good manufacturer from my experience.

If I ain't mistaken, the Rossi is made on a Winchester model 92 type action. The Winchester model 94 action is stronger due to the lockup design.
