i recently bought a rossi .223. its a singleshot and has a 22 inch heavy bull barrel. are these guns very good at long range? like 300+ yards?

With a bench and a scope, it should be doable. Not sure what the drop would be. it's 6.5 inches from 100 to 200 yards, not sure off the top of my head what it is out to 300

what would be the best loads to shoot? ive tried the hornady v-max and the superformance and they tend to be pretty accurate

Whatever works best in your gun. Get a whole $hit ton if types and take whatever holds the tightest group. They are all different in different guns. In many cases even the same brand gun will shoot the same ammo different. Trial by error.

Hey jeep, got any pics of your targets? I'd love to see them.

    What he said.

If you don't have any pictures it's really just a good reason to go shooting again.

Throw in some shots of the gun itself as well. Firearm pictures is sexy.

I got one for my wife a few years ago that also came with a 20g shotgun barrel.
We haven't shot the gun beyond 100 yards but it can easily put shots in a 1" ring with a simple 4 power scope. At less than $200 it's a best buy on my list.

jeep, what bullets did try, i took my gun out about a week ago, I used american eagles bullets at 50 about .5 inch away center (shooting standing gun against and keep in mind a woman) good enough for me
