I just got a Romanian AK-47 in .223 caliber, it came with one bakelite 30rd mag and I contacted K-VAR and they sent me 6 plastic mags, I can't seem to get the mags to clip in right.Everything fits with the exception of being 1/2" short of clipping all the way in. Not sure what the problem is. Would like to find someone in the Eastern part of U.S that works on them or can tell me what is wrong.

I don't know which mags you bought from K-Var, but they're probably the Bulgarian "Circle 10" 5.56 ones. AK type rifles in .223 or 5.56 are very picky as to what mags that will accept without modification. The WASR-3 Romy AK I had took German Weiger and Romanian steel 5.56 mags. I don't know if you can get the Bulgy Circle 10 mags to work with your rifle. Check this site out for the steel AK .223 mags:
