I've always wanted a 1911 but not the price tag that comes along with it. I've seen RIA 1911 for hundreds cheaper, any thoughts or feedback on them?

I love it. Eats whatever I feed it and I find it is more accurate than my glock. Just make sure you buy a good carry belt. She gets a bit heavy by the end of the day.

Mine has had some teething problems & had to go in for warranty, but it is the 'Government' 4" because I wanted a plain Jane type 1911 & also prefer the shorter barrel. Others that bought the upgraded series, such as the Tactical, don't seem to have the same issues. I'd say, if you get one, don't go with the Government series & stay with the full size.

They do give good customer service if you do have a problem.

It might be time for a RIA sticky. They're probably the best "entry level" 1911 out there.

May be worth considering I think it comes up about once a week.
    BTW are you a mormon?

Your photo probably exceeds the pixel rate limit for the forum, so it will do that. just re-crop the photo and it will lower the pixel rate

It's weird all photos were taken with my phone. That's the only one that loads upside-down. Thanks

My RIA CS Compact has been relible and accurate since it came out of the box. I have about 600 rounds through it so far.

I have the compact as well, zero problems with it. Use it for my daily carry.

Here is my RIA 1911A1 with my Colt 1991A1 both with rattlesnake grips.

I had some problems with my RIA when I first bought it. It would not feed anything not even ball ammo. SO I sent it back and 3 weeks later she was returned with all new innards and a polished feed ramp. Now she eats anything that I put through her. RIA a very well built handgun for the price.
