Just traded the AK74 for a Rock Island 1911A1 last weekend. Now I need to get a holster and mag carrier. Anybody got an old leather holster or carrier laying around they want to get rid of?

    Range Report

Because I knew people would ask for one. These are the first shots out of the box.

Nice pistol, i got one just like it. Get a blackhawk serpa paddle holster, you wont regret it. Its so comfortable i sometimes forget im wearing mine.

I got my holster for 30 bucks at bass pro shop. I had cheap belt clip holsters for which i payed 20 bucks for.

I have the blackhawk serpa for my XD40 so thats what I was thinking about getting. Wouldn't mind a leather pancake holster either.

Thanks Cane. Now to tweak it with a better beavertail and the commander style hammer, oh and grips.

I use a Galco FLETCH or their Concealable holster, they are very comfortable to wear and fairly priced. I also just picked up a Milt Sparks VM-II for my RIA 1911-A1CS.

    upgrades

Had some smithy work done the RIA. I got rid of the stock hammer, safety and trigger and went with wilson combat replacements. Took her out today and she shot smoother and faster.

Very Nice! I've been thinking about picking up a Rock Island 1911... your picks may have helped push it to the top of the list.

I have the RIA 1911A1-FS Two-Tone model. Only came with 1 mag, did get 1 Kimber Tac-Mag 8 rounder from local dealer at the time of the purchase. I recently picked another 2 more Kimber Tac-Mag from local dealer and 2 from midwayUSA.

Funny thing is 3 Tac-Mag 8 rounder have no issues with the slim bumper pad, the other 2 do not.

I have a set of grips that would make it look more WWII but the ones I put on fit my hand better and this is the gun i carry most.
