Are they +p rated? I am to be the proud owner of one in the next week or so. Just wondering before the new bundle of joy arrives so I'll know what to/not to feed her.

RTFM, or better yet, call the manufacture. What they tell you will speak volumes about both the company and their products.

IMHO, hot loads are not needed when using the BIG & SLOW 230gr .45 ACP round.

It works just like John Moses Browning designed it over 100 years ago.

    Quoted for truth, + 1000

But to address the question, they probably are, but yes, you should read the manual or call them up. They seem to be pretty decent guns, haven't heard any complaints about them myself.

I have an RIA double stack and have fired +p ammo out of it. I only did 5 rounds but I'm not a fan of it. I use Ranger Talon and Golden Saber as my carry (both in non +p format). I reload golden saber rounds because I want to closely practice what I carry which is the factory rounds. I love RIA; I have several 1911s some costing 3 times as much but my rock is still my preferred sd/hd.
