What caliber of revolver generates the least amount of recoil would you say? THanks in advance

Just about any full sized frame 22 will have negligible recoil. If you need a centerfire I can suggest getting a 32 H&R mag and using nothing but 32 S&W longs through it.

I have found that the 44 MAG has little to no recoil...as long as you don't pull the trigger
The 22s are the way to go. I assume that your purpose is to get someone (possibly yourself) into pistol/revolver shooting, if that is the case you asked the right question. A low recoil centerfire probably isn't the way to go, as the next "jump" up in caliber you will want to make will be much bigger than the lower recoil cals. And a good 22 never goes out of style.

The Smith & Wesson Model 27, using 38 Specials has very little recoil if any.
