Anyone carry a revolver in a pocket holster? If so is it comfortable?
Would depend on the revolver and the pocket. Summer months, I wear a lot of cargo shorts. My S&W Mdl 36 in an Uncle Mikes IWB drop neatly into pocket, rides comfortably on thigh.
I carry my S&W 640 in my pocket quite often, in the summer it's really hard to conceal a handgun with any other carry method. We've got really warm summer's down here in Argentina.
Comfort varies from pant to pant, some pocket designs work better than others. Just take your snubbie with you the next time you go shopping for pants and make sure it rides comfortably.
I carry my 442 in an Uncle Mikes pocket holster during the hot months. Carry my 317 the same way while backpacking.
Make sure you know how to detail strip and clean your revolver as pockets are lint and debris filled. They will cause serious malfunctions with revolvers if not kept clean. Detail clean it about once a week or more.
I carry my LCR and my 85 Ultra-Lite in an Uncle Mikes Size 4 Pocket holster. It works great.
I carry an SP101 .357 in a Uncle Mikes size 2 IWB. Fits good in front or back of torso and is pretty inconspicuous, even with shorts and a tank top. (my summer wear)
Seems like the width of the cylinder would make a revolver difficult for pocket carry. I have tried IWB but I have found I much prefer pocket carry.
It's really not too bad. It doesn't carry as good as my Kel Tec P3AT but I know my revolver(s) will fire every time. My P3AT has been known for an occasional stove-pipe. Once is too many!
My S&W 37 in a Desantis Superfly works just great in any pants with fairly large pockets...
My thoughts exactly. When I get my CCW, I'll be getting either a Ruger LCR or SP101.
I really like my LCR. The SP101 is a great revolver but it's a little bigger & heavier.
I carry my 442 in an Uncle Mikes pocket holster during the hot months.
