When you fire your revolver you cock the gun then pull the trigger. After you pull the trigger, can the force from the firing automatically re-cock the gun or do you have to do it again?
No. With a double action revolver you can simply squeeze the trigger again and the trigger will cock the hammer. With a single action revolver you have to re cock the hamnmer for each shot.
You have to do it again. In the late 1800's Webley-Fosbery made an automatic cocking revolver in .455 caliber, but it didn't catch on. http://www.thegunzone.com/webley-fosbery.html
Sounds like you might benefit from a basic firearms course at a local range, gun club, or gun shop. Modern revolvers do not need to be cocked, and in most training institutes, cocking is not recommended. Older designs, such as cowboy guns, did require cocking.
