The Muj used to use braided duct tape for their slings. They know how to improvise, fo sho.

I dont think the NFA boys approve of forward grips on pistols.....
Not to hijack OP, but the pistols with the forward grip on dancing on VERY thin ice with the BATFE. PISTOL is defined as being fired with one hand. with that on it, it is now a TWO hander. With a bbl less than 16 inches.

i think its putting a stock on a pistol thats earns the booby prize not a fore grip.

I can just imagine someone putting a forward grip on the Smith and Wesson 357 Magnum M&P R8 revolver that's got the light mount rail built into the frame already. I'm sure there's a mall-ninja somewhere who's done it
