I bought two Remington model 24, 22 cal. rifles yesterday and they both have threaded barrels. I have a friend who believes it is against the law to have a gun with a threaded barrel. They and I both went through the normal legal paper work. Any info appreciated.

threaded barrels are legal. its the gizmos that you put on the threads that may get you in trouble.

Depends on where you live...it is illegal here in NJ to have a threaded barrel unless you permanently affix a muzzle brake to it, no flash hider. Most AR barrels are threaded for flash hiders...not sure why a .22 would be threaded though...
