This was given to me by dad, it was worked on by my granddad, he fixed the Sear in the bolt after dad bought it. It's a Remington "The Sportsman" 3 shot 16ga Semi-Auto shotgun, this is the higher end of the Model 11 shotgun(this is also known as the 11A shotgun). Dad bought it from a guy that needed gas money and didn't have anything really other than this, paid $35 for it back in the 80's.

This is a thread I made on Remington Society asking if anyone knew what the date was, I was surprised by February 1941 for the Receiver and April 1941 for the Barrel.. http://www.remingtonsociety.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=4463

Already have. I stumbled upon about 15 full boxes of 16ga shells and a box of Misc at an auction for $11, I've shot so far #4 Magnum Power Pistons and some Remington Long Range shells. I've shot it a few times but mostly now it stays in the gun case unloaded and slicked with oil.
