I have a Remington Speedmaster, model 241, Long Rifle. Based on the manufacturer date code, OSS, it was made in July 1947. The gun is in better than average condition, with the exception the gun was reblued. I'm considering selling the rifle but do not know how to get a value. Any help would be much appreciated.

I check the gun auctions to see what they are bringing. In your web browser type in REMINGTON SPEEDMASTER 241 FOR SALE and it will take you to the auctions. Looks like $500 to $600 is what they are bringing.

I looked at the completed auctions over in Gunbroker- most were in the $350-$500 range. However, would expect lower $$$ for a refinished gun.

Was also pleasantly surprised at the prices- I paid a buck and half for one for a left-handed grandson a year ago.
