Been watching what I can find on it for a few weeks now and my general/store gun shop has one on there wholesalers want list for me as info and price is shown, probably from sport south. So hopefully I am in early enough maybe I can get on out of the first production run? Even been given a price by my dealer that may might up.

I'm gonna talk to my local gun stores today and ask if they're gonna have any in stock when they come out.

I'd really like to hold the gun before determining if I want it, like all my purchases.

However, at this gun's price point I might just say eff that and order it even if I can't hold it?

I tend to not get stuck one a design or feel and they mostly all feel fine after 500 rounds , well other than those black bricks known as glocks. Gona go ahead and try one and break it in then make a call if it becomes a carry pistol or if my wife steals it for hers. She does that. HA

Very interesting. Not sure I would get one right away but it probably would be tempting. I would like to see more guns made with triggers that go straight back like a 1911

I'd be interested in one. Looks pretty interesting. :D

I guess Remington is wanting to get back into the handgun market. First they started making the 1911R1s, and now this.

In the age of Glocks, XDM's, and M&P's; that is one beautiful gun. Looks like Remington is investing a little more money in design than the average gun company.

MSRP is $389, and they plan on coming out with a 40 S&W version soon.

    Not bad at all. :D

one of the links that JW posted showed a possible MSRP of around $420 and i thought that wasn't too bad. but $389 looks better and after some of the initial newness wears off, they will be probably less than that.

that pistol is looking more and more interesting. :D

If it feels as good as it looks, I might be tempted to sell my Kahr. Yeah... I know... it's vain.

It's actually based on a old design.

Even $420 is good, and it's pretty easy to find a gun selling for less than it's MSRP (after it's been out a bit).

I think I want one. Probably the 9mm version. I'd like to wait until I can either see one first hand, or read a few reviews/videos first.

Yeah. Interesting gun. Here's what I like about it:

    - SA with no external safety (grip safety is fine, I just don't think I want a thumb safety on a carry gun)
    - The aesthetics are good because its not a cookie cutter plastic gun. Its a breath of fresh air
    - It seems comparable in size to the M&P Shield, which I love the size of (might've bought one already. Only the thumb safety holds me back)
    - 9mm, which I consider to be the minimum caliber I would personally want to carry for SD
    - The one review that I linked to above makes it sound exceptionally reliable
    - Supposedly Remington put a lot of focus into the grip angle and making the gun a natural pointer
    - Supposedly it has an almost 1911 like trigger to it
    - And of course the price point.

The gun weighs in at 20 ounces, so 40 S&W might be a little stout in it. 9mm would be a little more pleasant and controllable.

Heck, maybe I'll happen upon one before the next meet and greet. ;)
