Saw one of these at my LGS today. Anybody have any experience with one? Sure seemed like a nice pistol. Real smooth trigger.

Doyle, i have the R1 Enhanced model. very accurate, fit and finish are excellent and it's a pure pleasure to shoot. MSRP is $940, but i got mine for about $775. the only modification to mine are the grips. it's really a nice pistol and i don't think you would regret buying it. here's mine with the new grips on it.

Didn't go with the enhanced model, but I think this'll do nicely for my 2nd 1911.

This is my R1S. I have about 600 rounds through it now and it has been absolutely flawless. Great trigger right out of the box, too.

Where'd you get those grips? The R1 looks good in stainless.

they also have a TALO edition that's bi-tone. SS slide and matte blue frame. pretty nice looking. they are now offering a R1 Enhanced in SS!:D

i'm glad you bought one Doyle! you will enjoy shooting it. one word of caution, it's based on the Colt Series 80 firing system, so keep that in mind if yu want to modify it.

Yeah I generally like anything with that comes out of TALO. Wouldn't mind having the TALO GP100.

I actually have a Colt XSE that's a series 80. I think the triggers feel fine in them for now. To be honest, the Remington breaks a little smoother than the Colt.
