Remington R-15

    I want to buy a remington r-15 but could i add regular ar15 parts? like do they use the same bolt carier assembly?

    Yes while most internal parts will fit they are not exactly identical and the rifle will function best if you either leave it alone or buy rem match parts

    Because it's a Bushmaster in sheep's clothing??? :p


    Actually there's a lot of truth in that... Remington has a more sporting connotation than many other AR brands.

    Well I didnt want to bring up the BM connection. I really try to stay away from that on this forum.

    Being a fan of Remington is cool, I love me some 700 action, but don't let it pull you under in the AR world.

    Yeah it bothers me that Remington adds a premium to their AR when it's really a BM or maybe even DPMS. I will say they look good in camo. I do love my Remingtons though, an old Wingmaster 870 with 3 barrels I got back in 1975 and an 1100.

    Wouldn't mind one of their new 1911s either, good price and it sounds like a good basic 45.

    I really like my 1100 as well and the Wingmaster is the best looking firearm I own.
