i was with my wife at a yard sale in Brunswick Ga. and saw what I believe was a Rem. Mod. 14 pump action rifle in .35 remington. I think they were made from 1912 to the 1930's. It was gorgeous! I didn't pick it up and examine it but I wish they made rifles with that much character nowadays. It had to have been an awsome woods rifle. If was priced out of my range but if anyone's had any actual experience with one, I'd appreciate the feedback. :)

I have a model 141, just a little later version, in .35 Rem. It has a Williams peep site installed on the receiver and it is pretty darn accurate w/ factory and handloads.
They are still nice guns and fairly easy to find, especially in .35 rem. Wish I had one in .25 Rem. The neat thing about them is that you can load pointed bullets in the spiral shaped magazine tube without the worry of the a pointed bullet firing the round in front of it.

    .
Does the spiral tube hold the point to one side of the primer? I'm not sure how that works???
Thanks for the Info guys!! He was asking around $850.00 for it. I cannot affor that! My wife would...........

I believe that is the idea of how the spiral tube works. I always use round nose in my .35 so it is all academic to me. $850 is pretty steep. You can find them for less than half that.

That is the gun my Grandfather used to hunt deer and Black bear with. I never got to meet him but my father has many a tale of him using it.
