Had the Remington LTR on the range for a few days working w/ a new reticle.

Fed GM168, conditions for both days was about 108F(shade) and 10%H @ 2600ft. Winds were variable in direction and velocity but never need more than a 10mph hold.

    Yesterday:

I had zeroed the rifle and scope earlier at 100yds(POA=POI@100yds), shot 400 and added 1.5moa elevation and shot it again. Then I shot the 800. Shot in the head was from bore sighting earlier in the day.

    Today:

Started at 900 and then shot the 200, 300, 600 and finished with a final group at 100yds.

    200 and 100yds:

sub moa at 900 man you are shooter and so is your rifle.

I am not much on all black but that is a nice lookin set up.

BTW can you explain to me what program you are using to measure group size and make them nifty green circles and blue stuff. That looks to be a nice set up as well. If you did this already in another thread just point me to it. Thanks

No idea, stock Remington LTR(I did have the trigger lightened to 4lbs) and factory Federal GM168.

In general? It has its uses but for most shooters I would not consider an illuminated reticle a 'must have' feature.

It is handy. Nice write-up and the link at 6mmbr OnTarget Software

The scope body is a 2.5-10x56 SFP from Light Optical w/ a new reticle design we are working on.

I've been shooting some reloads from a relative, that I trust. Ammo has been accurate so I decided to do some 10rd groups w/ the last of it.

168 Berger, not sure on the other components other than one batch had a match primer and the other did not.

Remington LTR .308, trigger job @ 4lbs, no other modifications to the rifle. Scope is 2.5-10x40. Probably over 6,000rds through the barrel, 700+ since copper was removed.

Bench, pack and rear bag for a rest.

The cold bore not measured w/ the group(low right), 9rd group:

Next 10, different primer, minimal pause between groups:

While this is only a sample of one, the LTR continues to impress me.

I might see if I can get some more of that ammunition and try it at 800-1000yds.
