Hey guys, this is a tough one. This is also my first day on the forums, so easy on the flaming. I need you guys to settle an argument I've been having with myself. I can't decide which assault rifle is the best: the Remington ACR or the Robinson Arms XCR. They are extremely similar, and are in my opinion the best assault rifles ever made (debatable, I'm sure). They can outperform any other guns on the market, in any category, as far as I know. But which one is BETTER???

Here is a great link to the ACR: http://remingtonmilitary.com/pdf/remington_acr_brochure.pdf

It looks like the ACR has more engineering put into its build rather than the XCR. The ACR looks like it has quicker access to caliber change than the XCR. Truthfully, I think the XCR looks a lot like an ACR knock-off, but that's just my honest opinion.

I would rather have the ACR. That is one bada$$ gun.

Correct me if I'm wrong(someone will anyway), but I believe the XCR is older than the ACR is. It's also half the price. And the caliber change, just me, but who the heck is worried about how long it takes to change over? If it comes down to that when the SHTF, my AR and AK must have taken a dump and it's shotgun time.

I believe its just the thought of being able to have 2 guns in only a package that's 1 and 1/2. As for the time factor, I dont think that's what they're really getting at unless its for marketability. I think its more of the fact that its easier to do with the ACR than the XCR (supposedly).
The whole thing reminds me of the competition for making magnum auto-loading pistols in the 1980 and early 1990s. Coonan and LAR tried the whole bit with 357mags and 44mag auto-loading handguns but were beat out by Magnum Research and their Desert Eagle. Why? Not really sure, could all boil down to advertising.
Either way, I'm sure both of them are nice to have, but IMHO I'd rather have the ACR because of the reliability of the companies involved.

ACR for me - I have never heard of robinson arms, but the ACR was developed by Remington, Bushmaster and/or Magpul, which are 3 of the top names in firearms.
