Veterans Day and Remembrance Day are both on us this week. To name but a few. As this forum expands worldwide I feel it would be a good thing if we all offered a small prayer to our fallen hero's. I would remind all agnostics and non christians one phrase (and don't deny it "Please don't let me die" if you have been there you have said it. A silent prayer will suffice.

An excellent idea. Good Speed and Safe Return to all members of all forces on the side of good and a swift voyage to the Halls of Valhalla accompanied by the Valkyries themselves for those brave souls that fell while serving.

Thank you one and all from the JD house.

Thank you, my brothers and sisters in arms.
    You gave your lives,
    to keep me from harm.

My family and I are still free to this day.
    For your valor and courage,
At night it is for you whom I shall pray.

May God keep his eyes a little closer on you.
Are my thoughts and my prayers,
    'Till I make it through.

You go selflessly into harms way, to keep me and mine from harm.
You suffer the horrors of battle, so I won't have too.
You give all you are for God and Country asking nothing in return.
I give you my prayers, my undying support and comfort, as you know
I will be there for you when your battle is done.

This I pray for you, the warriors, the soldiers who fight the good fight.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning,

    We will remember them.

    Lest We Forget.
