I just bought a NEF single shot 20 gauge youth shotgun. My main intentions for the gun was to let my nephew use it for squirrel hunting. I shot a box through it and man does that cheap plastic pad hurt. So I ordered a grind to fit recoil pad. Any tips for installation?

I always liked a disk sander best for working them down.

A recoil pad adds length to the stock-which may already be too long for a youngster. You may have to cut the stock before adding the recoil pad. You will need a disk sander, or belt sander to grind the pad flush with the stock.
