    RE: "One Pull, Multiple Shots"

Some clown decided it'd be a "good idea" to close this thread. The clown needs to point out that the BATF just prosecuted a guy for having a defective AR which shot more than one round per pull of the trigger.

It's a LEGAL issue and needs to be discussed. That the thread gets closed isn't discussion, it's disgusting.

If you have a semi-auto with a defective sear catch -- or whatever -- it needs to be repaired, because in its defective condition it's felony firearms stuff.

Once again Slamfire, you're right. (I have no previous aquaintanceship or knowledge of Slamfire, and small hope of financial gain for my support.) This issue deserves discussion. I'd say the guy needs to clean his firing pin channel.

Mechanical issues aside. It's not important what's causing the malfunction.

What's crucial is to know that the BATF just arrested and convicted a man shooting an AR -- I think maybe it was borrowed -- with a defective trigger mechanism. Evidently the fact that the trigger mechanism was defective served as no defense in the prosecution of the case.

Slamfire, the thread was closed in the rifle section because the OP posted another exactly like it in the semi auto handgun forum. That is where it belongs. It is being discussed at this time over there.

PS - I was the clown, and since it was a duplicate, I closed the one that DIDN'T have any responses to it yet....

You will also notice that I replied with some information IN the one that was already open and moving forward.
