Ranges in Indian River county area

Excellent range in the Sebastian area (County range), though closed to public on Tues. and Weds. has pistol, rifle, shotgun, airgun, and archery as well. Good place to take newbees, excellent range masters. reasonable price.

Also indoor range on Us 1 north of Vero Beach, west side of road. rents glocks and other handguns to try out before one has the urge to splurge. Reasonable prices as well

I live near Tallahassee, but I shoot at home. I built a 150 yard range, which is about 100 yards more than I can use with the age of my eyes. :)

The big, local private club is too expensive and the shooters there are elitist wannabes. The public range is something out of the old west at the end of a cattle drive. (no supervision and plenty of yahoos and gangsters)

Being in Naples I shoot at the State run gun range up on the Babcock Ranch in Punta Gorda just off I-75. It's a pretty good place to shoot. The Range Officers are friendly and helpful, but they could use a few more lanes on the pistol range. The waiting lines get pretty long many times. Can't beat the price though, $3 per head or $6 a car load.

I'm over in New Port Richey on the Gulf Coast, I have a local range/LGS and they have like 6 lanes, but it's always crammed. So I usually head north the Hernando Sportsman Club in Brooksville. Granted its not the cheapest and it certainly isn't close, but it'll do. Clay/Trap shoots, range out to 100 yds, pistol range, fully auto/heavy guns range.

They offer memberships with discounted admission fees, I just don't have the money to drop on it.

Occasionally at the Oak Ridge indoor range. Brand new spot. Shoot all day long for $13 bucks.

Long Range but not long enough

I have a private range that extends 300 yards on family property, but as fate would have it probably wont be there for long. It's sad that you can grow up somewhere and have plans set to keep things within family, atleast for a couple generations. Then an outsider swindles persuasion upon plans already set. Now just drama on who gets what.
