For some reason (i can't tell you why because even i don't understand it) i prefer the SKS to the AK. I've shot half a dozen different models of each & always felt the SKS to be the better gun.

It was the least we could do. :p

Hard not to like a nice CZ pistol.

Haven't owned any of the newer polymer units, myself. It's all been the 75's and P-01's for me.

I got the P07- and I’m loving it- super reliable and (and this coming from a single action revolver guy) the trigger isn’t horrible. It’s a damn accurate gun even at 25-30 yards.

At some point, pick up a 75B and then have a quality CZ shop to a great trigger job on the thing. It'll "melt" your heart.

Sure isn't the same as a 1911's SA trigger. But given the amazing balance and accuracy that most CZ's seem to have, it's hard not to love them for what they are. I'd pick them over most anything else made.

Looks like a "Janap" sword or knife from the southern Philippines.

Cold Steel has a few of their machete blades in that sort of style. No idea whether the blade steel's as capable and effective as the Filipino version he had.

My dad had a machete like that, no ingravings, but the blade was stained from blood.

The USMC Lt. General I worked for told me a story about Admiral Byrd. The admiral was at some kind of function and a guest asked him what the hardest part of his polar expedition was. He replied "trying to piss with a 3" ***** through 4" of clothes."
True? Who knows but it sounds like something a military man would say. :D

I live that every day, trying to pee with a 1/2" tool through any clothes.

But my backgammon game is the tops!

For me, a lot comes down to the interface on a given platform. I love how H&K does it with their various guns. Love the ambidextrous, larger/fatter controls designs, easier reach, easier racking of the slide, easier swapping of magazines, etc.

Now and then, one comes along that just feels right. And it's sometimes strange that it feels that way, but it's unmistakable when it does. Gotta love that, when it happens, when you find one that works well.
