Rand is one of the few up there that really gets it and is the only one with the stones to stand up and scream about it. If we had 99 more like him we would be in a lot better shape today.

How coincidental is this emergency broadcast when he was speaking.

Some will see the timing of the emergency alert test as more than coincidental, given what Senator was discussing during his filibuster of John Brennan’s nomination to be CIA director.

“No American should ever be killed in their house without warrant and some kind of aggressive behavior by them,” Paul said on the Senate floor. “To be bombed in your sleep? There’s nothing American about that . . . [Obama] says trust him because he hasn’t done it yet. He says he doesn’t intend to do so, but he might. Mr. President, that’s not good enough . . . so I’ve come here to speak for as long as I can to draw attention to something that I find to really be very disturbing.”

“I will not sit quietly and let him shred the Constitution,” Paul added.”No person will be deprived of life, liberty, or property without due process,” he said, quoting the Fifth Amendment.

He and his dad are from old fashioned cloth, and that is the material we need more of in politics

I almost spit my beer all over the screen. That sounded a lot like a member of our legislature making an argument that our government shouldn't be permitted to murder or imprison American citizens without cause.

I wonder if the thought ever crossed the minds of the senators who passed the NDAA that the legislation might be used against them by a future political administration?

Sometimes it's hard to determine whether or not our government is a domestic terrorist group, just looking out for it's own interests, or trying to protect Americans in some terribly misguided way.

I've always been proud to be an American and always been proud to be from the wonderful commonwealth of Kentucky, but with a senator like Paul fighting for MY rights as an American makes me walk with my head a little higher. I think another letter is due to Mr. Paul thanking him for his service to the commonwealth of Kentucky, the great country WE live in and the constitution of the USA that guarantees our rights. I hope that all of you do the same, regardless if you're from Kentucky or not. I am sure he would love to hear what real Americans think and how we feel about the job that he has taken on as an American senator.

Writing a couple of letters today, one to Sen Paul and the other to my local guy Sen Mike Lee. He was one of a few who actually stayed the whole night at the filibuster while most of them sat and had dinner with Obummer instead. I hope this starts a real discussion about the way our constitution is be shredded by the BHO regime. If they push this through I think we will finally see calls for impeachment.

    Well done Senator Paul.

Every American should be concerned by an administration that thinks it may be ok for them to kill a citizen on US soil with no due process.

An answer was finally given... NO the gov does NOT have the authority to kill US citizens who are not in active combat. It's called the 5th amendment and it is not subject to executive discretion! It took all this just for the Obamatrons to even acknowledge our constitutional rights... Pretty sad really...

I agree, since Ron Paul is retiring, I hope that Rand Paul will follow in his fathers steps and run for president, Ron Paul brought Libertarianism into the public eye and I hope Rand can bring to a majority. God bless Ron and Rand Paul!
