As I have posted in a thread below, there will be a rally in Albany on April 1st. Please spread the word and do your best to be there. We have to show the bastards that we are here and we matter. The Constitution will not die in NYS under our watch. See you there.
A second bus has officially been scheduled for Monroe county. The bus luggage space will be available for protest signs. Some Unconvicted Felon T-shirts will be raffled off to people riding on this bus. You can sign up to ride the bus through the SCOPE website.
Edit: This bus will have Wi-Fi and a DVD player. I'm hoping I can come up with a good gun movie.
Hey, you were standing pretty close to me
It would have been an honor to shake your hand.
Overall a great turnout, albeit a bit smaller than last Feb. I went to ser my Senator to express my displeasure with his pro-SAFE vote. The secretary kicled me out because I have not scheduled an appointment. The *****'s name is LATIMER May he lose the next election!
I was hoping the turnout was better than last February. I'm not great at estimating crowd sizes, and the change of location made it hard to compare the two crowds. But it really didn't look nearly as impressive as last February. Still a pretty darn good crowd for a weekday though.
The Siena poll claims that twice as many people support the safe act as oppose it. You'd never know it based on the 10 people that were there in support of it. There is clearly a large passion divide on the issue. I doubt that those who support SAFE will be very motivated to get to the polls and vote.
The Sienna poll interviewed a majority of democrats. Any poll can be doctored based on who's being questioned and who's paying for it. I bet Sienna poll can have 2:1 support for rape if they asked a rapist population the question. I do not believe for a second that unsafe has so much support.
All in all, FUAC. We need to get out and VOTE. We can do it!
