Hi everyone, I've been browsing 7.62x54R ammunition in the local gun shops and also online and have one thought.
Does the color/metal type of the casing affect the flight of the round?
Just wondering, because Romanian and some Russian is a darker red to brown; while Tul ammo and Czech are black and seem to have a lighter feel. This is all aside from any of the American manufacturers who make new rounds in shiny brass.
    Am I over thinking this?

Color of case is purely what they used to protect case from corrosion (steel cases mainly) some are copper washed, a lot is lacquered. What afects flight is WEIGHT of the bullet- runs from around 150 grains to just over 200. Lighter is generally faster, flatter shooting.
