I see that many compare the calibers of the PX Storm, but what about the full size vs compact. I'm looking for my next gun and trying to get some feedback.

Storm comes in three calibers, and four sizes.

I have the sub. I LOOVE IT! Good news is it accepts the 17 round mags and for 12.00 you can get a mag cover that makes it look correct. I will ask hubby to post a pic...

To me the compact looks more natural than the subcompact and the full size is better yet than the compact. Normally I like smaller guns, in case I decide to CCW it later on. However, the Storm compact and especially the subcompact look terribly blocky and misproportioned (that spelling is all wrong). That being said, they're great guns regardless of what size you get.

Will this be a CCW gun or a range gun? That's really what it comes down to, in my opinion.

The sizes are all the simular gun internals with exception of the sub compact does not have a rotating barrel system to help dissipate recoil.

All use the same mags, but the SC will feel better in hand using larger mags with a spacer. Mags come in 13 (SC only ), 15, 17, 20 and 30.

I have a Sub Compact, 9mm. It is a wonderful gun. I have trusted a Glock 20 for protection for two decades, but it was time to get something smaller.

I will have my eye out for the larger sizes to get a collection of them.

The BlackHawk Serpa 2 holster system fits all the models perfectly, model 28.

With the longer barrel models, you will increase distance accuracy somewhat. You also increase weight and bulk.

You can achieve the exact same handgrip of the larger models, on the Sub Compact with this Beretta accessory added to the larger mags.

I use this for calf concealed carry, works great, don't know it is there.

The sub is nice, but I've narrowed it down to the compact or full size. Still debating on single action or double action.

Wife has the sub and I love it but my next 9mm will probably be the full size PX4. I don't need a smaller gun so I figure might as well get the full size.

I was generally happy with my LC9...until I bought my wife a Px4 Compact 9mm. After shooting it a while, I divested myself of the LC9 and also purchased a Px4 Compact 9mm for my carry. Nice firearm, love it. :)

Did you even compare the compact to the full size before buying? I like the LC9; however, when I looked at one, it just didn't seem to operate as smoothly as the PX4.

I bought a PX4 Storm fullsize and am glad I did, it is still a relative smallish pistol and with my huge hands, it works and feels a lot better than the compact.
