I just received a great ivory wart hog tusk I ordered. I was going to make a push dagger with a 5 1/4-inch, mirror-polished, 440c stainless steel double-edged blade. The tusk will make an excellent T-shaped handle. I wondered, however, if I should instead use the tusk as a conventional handle for a steel or flint knapped obsidian blade knife. The choices are: knife or push dagger, obsidian or steel blade, and carved or uncarved ivory. I would appreciate your feedback.
    Thanks,
    Randy

Carved ivory and obsidian blade sounds great. IMHO, it would be a very unique piece.
