I've sold quite a few Plum Crazy lowers all across the US without a negative word back. Enjoy the Black Rifle!!

Hope it works well, Scott! I have to say I'm skeptical of PlumCrazy for hard use but I understand you can put a steel FCG in the lower if you want. Very curious to hear your opinion after getting some rounds down range! At only $120 you're not taking that bad a risk and even if you get a standard lower down the road the PlumCrazy could be used nicely with a .22lr upper, so no risk at all!

Wow, great budget build! I've never seen a polymer lower on an AR-15 style before. But I'm sure it'll be fine since my SCAR-17 in .308 has a polymer lower.

I was in 2010, but let it lapse last year because I couldn't shoot since I busted my arm. I'm planning on going over and re-joining next Wednesday.

That's great! And just what I'm looking to build, less the tower sight and magpul hand guard. What's the twist rate on that puppy?

1:7 twist rate. It won't be good for light weight rounds, but I anticipate another upper in the future for those purposes. It should work well for 55+.

I was starting to get happy, :D then I concluded you were talking about bullet weight, and not age of the shooter. :(
