Well My son had a rough go of it for a while in third grade and the beginning of 4th. In Virginia 3rd grade has 4 tests called Standards Of Learning (SOL). Last year he failed both reading and Math. This year he passed both and got one of the highest grades in the class on the Reading test.... On top of all that he got 4 awards as well...

    Most improved student.

You should take him shooting as a reward, or maybe to ChuckECheese's.

Hmmmm, maybe the lil fellar could be your way around the arms blockade established by your HQ; he looks like he would really enjoy a nice AR in .308 with a good scope (rubber coated), maybe a fluted barrel & a bipod too. Think how jealous his lil classmates would be when he popped a rodent at 500 yards or so. :D

Well done Brendan!! Now make your dad take you out for Guy's Day with a giant greasy burger, some shooting and maybe a new movie that just hit theaters. :D

Great job, I can personally attest to the VA SOL tests and how tough they can be as I've taken every single one, Finally passed my last one in 2007 and gradiated in 08, You should definately give him some range time and ice cream as a reward.

    Outstanding!

Sometimes it just takes a little longer to get where you want to be. Your boy has learned a couple valuable lessons. You can be anything you want if you want it bad enough. And you never fail until you stop trying. I hope he builds on this and takes it as far as he needs to so as to get to where he wants to be when he's grown.

Be proud Dad, both you and he have plenty to be proud of. These awards are just more proof of that. :)
