I'm looking for an old gun of some sort that I could restore and clean up. I am pretty experienced with guns and I would like to be able to say that I brought that gun back to life. As of right now I have a budget of 80 bucks and I'd like to either do a pistol or a 12 gauge. Any ideas or tips?

There are tons of well worn, inexpensive shotguns/rifles out there to be had...

I'd restore a long gun every time over a handgun...more steel, more wood, more fun...:)

I'd say to check out some of your local pawn shops but if they're anything like they are around here, they'll try to rip you off... I was done with those gyp joints years ago...

Most of my local LGS's get tons of old stuff in all the time, maybe check some of yours?
