I have a Ruger 22/45 Lite . It's been shooting pretty good up until today . Had a jam , two bullets jamed in chamber . After I cleared it , it started to miss fire . This happen three times . I looked at some of the cases and the firing pin is barely hitting the rim , almost not hitting it at all .

What happened ? Did I somehow bend the firing pin when I cleared the gun ?
Hitting way low , almost not at all .

Open to all advice .

How old is the Ruger? If it is still under warranty I would send it back to Ruger. It is not in your best interest to attempt to repair a gun that is under warranty.

Well , turns out it was an ammo problem and only on the the first round in a ten round mag ! Weird ! The ammo was Federal and only on the first round . Changed mags and still , glitch !

When I load nine rounds , no problem ! I guess I have a nine round Ruger ? Who would a thunk ? :D
