I just bought an Older model Taurus 9mm PT-99 that doesn't have the decocking feature. I decided at the store to buy it before looking up reviews and what-not since I had a friend there that new all about guns and said it was a good handgun. Looking up reviews it turned out he was right. I really can't find any bad reviews about the pistol but I feel like I paid a little more than I should have since the gun is used and is the older version. I bought it for $400 with only one 15 rd magazine. Was this a fair price? Thanks for the help.

If you're happy why worry about it since you already spent the money. I would suggest though that you do the research first next time...

How does the price compare to on-line auctions? Remember that what is bid may not be the price the seller expects to get.

Well that's another problem I have. I'm having a hard time finding prices for the older model PT99. Everywhere I look it's for the PT99 AF and AF-S.

A Taurus won't morph into a "classic" so it's all about condition when it comes to value. In my neck of the woods - you paid to much by at least $75...

Hmm. I'm still in the waiting period and haven't actually recieved the gun yet, are there specific reasons that might make it hard for a refund?

Besides completed paperwork? You may have to pay a little for that.

Really depends on the dealer - you did BUY the gun...

Paying a fee would defeat the purpose of the refund so I'm just going to enjoy the gun then. Maybe I'll try to convince them to throw an extra mag or holster in there when I pick it up ;)

    Thanks for the help, gentlemen.
