so far, the only effect all this seems to have had is to boost AR15 (and similar) sales and jack the price of .223 ammo....so firearms and ammo manufacturers come out ahead (as well as opportunistic dealers and private sellers).....the only knee-jerk reactions I have seen to date are among fearful, panicky gun owners! Do we screw ourselves on prices because of this hysteria?Really getting tired of all this panic.
Feinstein's legislation has yet to be introduced. Getting it to pass will be difficult to say the least.
ALL of the current gun control legislation introduced today has been referred to the Republican controlled and pro-gun House Judiciary Committee.
If Obama could get away with an EO, he would have done it already. His chance to do so has passed, making me think they probably didn't see a way to enact anything enforcable.
To be blunt, people need to take a deep breath, relax, and act instead of react. Have you sent letters to your representatives? Do they know where you stand? Are you part of a pro-gun organization? Have you sent money to pro-gun candidates or organizations?
Getting everyone riled up is not constructive, and we need constructive action.
Obama has said a lot of things, but watch out! Every statement he makes has an expiration date. He is the campaigner-in-chief and will always say what he thinks people will want to hear. I thought this would end once he won re-election but he appears to still be stumping. I guess you go with what you know.
