I just Got this M&P 40, it was traded for my old Maadi, haven't tested it yet, maybe next week when I have some time.

The Bbl is 1/4" longer than my G23 and the grip is longer than the G23 and makes 2 more rnds than the G23 but if I insert the G22 15 rnd mag it's about the same length.

It has the interchangeable back strap system and came with 2 15rnd mags NIB

Seems like a great gun incorporating all the advances in striker fired guns over the yrs.

This model have the safety and will fire without the mag inserted.

Anyone have experience with this gun?

What should I expect out of this one?

What do you think of my new toy?

Just changed the backstrap, seems I got a big paw since it feels better now with the large backstrap, I don't feel much difference between the small and medium backstraps.

I got it now, the backstraps add more to the width of the grip than to the length of pull.

Great gun. They shoot great and fieldstrip about as easy as a GLOCK. If I remember correctly you remove the clip and lock the slide back and there is a little tab at the top of the mag well that you flip forward (comes out at about 45 degrees) then release the slide and slip it right off the front. Pop the recoil spring out and barrel comes right out. Once everything is back in place inserting the mag pushes the tab back into the locked position.

Ok, tested it this weekend and it's a great gun, groupings were similar to my G23 shooting standing with a 2 hand grip (all shots inside the 9 ring at 15 yds), I know it can do better, but my eyes are a bit tired and at an indoors range light isn't that good.
It's very comfortable to shoot, only complaint is that the front sight white insert flew away with the second magazine, not a biggie cause I painted it back with bright white nail polish.
No malfunctions of any kind and I shot around 150 rnds through it, all in all I would recomend this gun to anyone looking for a defensive gun, maybe a IPSC or IDPA.
